Enhanced NEMA box enables simplified ordering and installation for various applications

CLEVELAND, Ohio— August 30, 2011 — Bud Industries, a leading manufacturer of electronic enclosures, announced the release of its PN-Series plastic NEMA 4X box with molded-in external mounting brackets. This expansion of one of Bud’s top selling product lines simplifies customer ordering by providing an out-of-the-box solution that meets multiple industry standards.

“As our latest high-performance NEMA box , the PN-Series has the additional features and quality that our customers are looking for,” explained Josiah Haas, Bud Industries Director of Sales. “By including the mounting brackets on the back, the user no longer has to worry about specifying the correct mounting brackets accessories, which saves time by streamlining the ordering process. The cover-attaching screws are outside the sealing area, thus providing additional shielding from moisture and dust.”

In addition to its listing by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the complete PN-Series meets IEC 529 and NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4x, 12, and 13 specifications. Its integrally molded external mounting brackets allow the NEMA box to be easily mounted on a wall, panel or machine. Most models have internal guide slots for mounting PCB assemblies vertically. Internal bosses allow for the mounting of PCBs horizontally or for the connection of terminals into threaded brass inserts (with the exception of model PN-1320 and PN-1330).

The PN-Series is ideal for engineers involved in manufacturing, design and electronics to use in a variety of applications where a NEMA 4 rating is required. Examples include instrument cases, junction boxes, meter cases, wet and dirty industrial applications, and washdown environments.

The PN-Series NEMA box is in stock and ready for same day shipment. When ordering, customers may request a clear or solid cover, and choose from a variety of plastic materials including polycarbonate and ABS. Upon request, Bud’s in-house technicians will provide inexpensive drilling of the holes for the input/output wires, making the solution easier to fit the user’s unique requirements.
