Welcome to Bud Industries presentation on Bud’s PN and PNR Series Plastic NEMA enclosures. The first is the PN Series, which is molded to meet NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings. The NEMA rating is met by having the cover seal with a silicone gasket. They meet IP65 rating and UL508-4X and UL94-HB flammable rating. Each PN Series enclosure comes with four internal mounting boxes to mount PC boards or any other electronic component. This allows you to mount equipment without ruining the integrity of the enclosure by drilling holes to mount the components. They also have card guides going from side to side or top to bottom for vertical assemblies. The PN Series comes in three different styles. Style 1 is made out of a light gray polycarbonate body and cover. It is UV stabilized, meaning it can be for indoor or outdoor use. Style 2 is a light grade polycarbonate body with a clear cover. This part number has a suffix of C for ‘Clear’. It is UV stabilized, as well as can be used for indoor and outdoor use. The clear cover can be beneficial as it lessens the need to make cutouts in the box. Style 3 is a dark gray ABS body and cover. This part number has a suffix of DG for ‘Dark Gray’. We suggest this for indoor use only.
There are 25 sizes of each of these styles. The PN Series boxes feature a smooth flush top cover. Each style is available with a recessed area in the cover, which is great for labels, name plates and keypads. Bud Series with the recessed lid is the PNR Series. Both the PN and PNR Series have wall mounting capability holes in the base, in the cover, outside the sealed area to prevent ruining the protection.
