Bud Industries Electronic Enclosure Year in Review

Published on: December 19, 2019 by Blair Haas

As the year winds down and we look back on 2019, we have so much to be grateful for and to look forward to in our company and in the electronic enclosure world.  We also are proud of our ability to confront challenges and thrive as a leader in our industry and 2019 unfortunately gave us a few of those as well.  Here are a few of the highlights:

At Bud, our employees are crucial to our success.  We value their experience and this year we were once again reminded of how fortunate we are to have a strong core of long-term team members who guide us all.  In 2019, we had five employees who celebrated 40 years with us and two who marked 45 years.  Amazingly, there are 2 employees who have even longer tenure.  These remarkable people are true role models and have helped us weather the ebbs and flows of the economy and the electronic enclosure industry.  As we look forward to 2020, we are excited to celebrate 2 more employees who will hit 35 years and one who hits the 40 year mark.

Celebrating individuals with a quarter of a century of providing the best electronic enclosures

This year, we saw the introduction of a diverse cadre of new products that are already generating strong interest.  Key among these are two new series of NEMA/IP rated vents that allow for air flow to equalize both pressure and temperature within the box while preventing the ingress of water and other fluids.  Several of these even allow the electronic enclosure to be safely submerged.  Another exciting addition is our extra- large NEMA/IP rated plastic enclosures.  So often people prefer plastic due to weight or weather protection issues but it is hard to find them in a larger size due to the high cost of tooling and molding equipment.  These, too, have become quite popular.

We are also grateful that we serve a dynamic and exciting industry.  Our products are becoming more popular as engineers bring the latest technology to many traditional fields from agriculture to transportation to factory controls.  We like to say we are involved in the next generation of everything.  From products that detect soil moisture to more efficiently irrigate fields to the automation of police body cameras to the internet of things, Bud products are protecting the sensitive electronics and allow them to be utilized in an increasingly diverse environment.

To all, we wish the Happiest of Holidays and we look forward to working together to make 2020 the most exciting and successful year yet.
